Learning Support Teacher (Learning Coach) - Elementary School
The Learning Specialist / Coach (Academic Support teacher) provides academic support to students with identified learning needs including students with high achieving potential. They work in collaboration with the classroom teacher and academic support team to provide appropriate instruction to students, scaffold learning, and challenge and inspire confidence and success. The Learning Coach is a key member of the Individualized Learning Support team. The ideal candidate will bring a wide range of skills in supporting student learning. ASB is a highly collaborative school, one where we view the learning of students as the responsibility of all educators.
PreK - Grade 2 Counselor - Elementary School
With a desire to further strengthen our intentional work around Social and Emotional Learning, the American School of Bombay seeks an outstanding candidate to join the counseling team at ASBl. As advocates of student well-being, the counseling team provides support to students, teachers, and parents with the overarching goal of student success.
ASB’s Elementary school counselors work with our elementary students both individually and in groups to develop academic and social skills. The counseling program provides preventative social/emotional guidance lessons in all classrooms, as well as responsive services. The team utilizes leadership and collaboration to promote student success and respond to identified student needs.

Our ideal candidate has:
- An understanding of applying evidence-based approaches to learning, including incorporating an understanding of the role equity, diversity, inclusion, and social-justice and social-emotional learning practices have on learning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of integrating technology to enhance learning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across cultures that promote collegial interaction.
- A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience in a K-12 accredited school.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program and teaching certification
- Experience with an inquiry-based framework
- Evidence of relevant professional development
