Dear Prospective Families,
Welcome to the American School of Bombay. Founded in 1981, the American School of Bombay (ASB) is a well-established, non-profit school serving Mumbai's expatriate and repatriating Indian families. With 750 students representing 50 nationalities, our diverse community shares a common vision found in our Mission and Core Values. Together, we live our mission to inspire all of our students to continuous inquiry, empowering them with the skills, courage, optimism, and integrity to pursue their dreams and enhance the lives of others. We are proud of the reputation our school has earned for more than three decades and are pleased you are considering becoming a part of ASB's expanding community.
The American School of Bombay has a “rolling admission” process which means students may enroll at any time during the school year. While we understand that securing school enrollment is a priority for families, we cannot do so until we have received complete applications and reviewed each child’s file for admission.
For families able to visit our campus, we encourage you to schedule an appointment and experience our community in action. In the meantime, please take the time to fully explore our website where you will find more details regarding ASB’s academic and co-curricular programs and our community of learners. Between our website, school videos, social media, and a school visit, we hope you understand the dynamic community that is the American School of Bombay and what it has to offer your family.
As a mother of two daughters, I understand settling your children in the right school is a top priority. I can speak from experience: our students are safe and secure, individually challenged, and encouraged to take risks to grow to their full potential. I also understand the significance of finding a supportive community in Mumbai. ASB’s staff and parent community collaborate to quickly settle your children into a daily routine, establish immediate support, and engage your entire family in new learning opportunities - in ASB’s Office of Admission, your family’s transition is our primary focus.
It is our goal to make the admission process and subsequent transition as transparent and smooth as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further assistance. We look forward to working with you.
