The American School of Bombay is truly a festival of Nations. At any given time there are 40 to 60 different nations represented at the school by our students. We celebrate our diversity throughout the curriculum and the entire community comes together for cultural performances and a Parade of Nations once a year.
We recognize that many of our students will only be with us for a short time for their education in Mumbai. In order to support them transition back to their native schools systems, we offer home language tutorials for our largest non-English speaking populations: French, German, Dutch, Korean, Japanese and Chinese.
Our students travel internationally throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America for competitions and exchanges in varsity sports, academic bowls, Model United Nations, and music and art festivals. Those in grades 6-12 also participate in a week-long trip to various places across India, under the Week Without Walls & Yatra Programs.
Anchored in our mission, our Community and Social Responsibility program gets students into the Mumbai community for meaningful service experiences across all grade levels from teaching English to building homes with Habitat for Humanity.
